New Vampire: The Masquerade Learn-to-Play, with House GM Harrison on Friday, July 24th, from 6pm to 11pm, 6 Seat Maximum
About this experience
New Vampire v5 Learn-to-Play:
-The Taste of Blood-
Vampires are real and you serve one... or at least you did.
The mighty Elder that granted you, mere mortals, a fraction of his power has suddenly disappeared.
You shudder to imagine what that means for your dependence on his blood, but that's the least of your problems. If the Elder's absence comes to light, the other vampires of DFW, previously intimidated by your master, will surely tear you apart (if you're lucky).
Your best chance for survival is to convince everyone that his influence remains in the metroplex, at least until a way out of this nightmare presents itself.
This one-shot is designed to allow beginners to learn while playing, by exploring scenes commonly found within a game of VtM.
With that in mind, players will NOT be controlling vampires, due to their plethora of unique game mechanics.
Instead, players will select from a pool of premade ghouls, living humans empowered by drinking vampire blood, allowing beginners to sample the game without being overwhelmed by the full ruleset.

House GM Harrison's Backstory:
Hi there! My name’s Harrison. I’ve been GMing TTRPGs for private groups since 2015, but expanded to running public games and learn-to-play workshops around DFW at events, conventions, and the like in 2025.
While my main system has been D&D, I also have experience with the most recent editions of Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness, and loads more. I’ve even got shelves of systems I’m just dying to try.
Rule #1 is everybody has fun and I do my best to accomplish that by adapting to the wants and needs of any group. I’ve built up quite the GM toolkit over the years to facilitate those goals, too.
For role play, I’ve made players laugh and cry. For gameplay, I utilize both encyclopedic rule knowledge and a knack for improvising mechanics. For world building, I’ve made several homebrew settings for multiple systems, each filled with rich history and characters.
Hope to see you from behind the GM screen soon!
