About this experience

Welcome to Blackmarch (Level 5)

For every hero who has arrived in Blackmarch, their story has exactly one thing in common. Somehow or another, they came into possession of a signet ring. How they got that ring is a varied tale, but one thing is for certain, it was no accident. Rings did not end up in the hands of common folks. Farmers and serving wenches have not been teleporting into the Blackmarch circle, only adventurers have.

However you got that signet, you're here now, in Blackmarch, and an ancient war you most likely never heard of is now standing between you and everything you've ever known. Or, you are finally here to fulfill a promise. Again, the stories of the adventurers that have been called here are varied, but to the fate of the world, they are all VERY important.

Come discover those stories as we build a world together. Using modern tools and sources, we believe we can elevate the 5E experience, and build a really great community too. Our world, so far, has been built using collaborative games w/ DMs and players alike, to forge something new, but familiar, solid, but surprising.

We aim to provide ease in user experience, using both serialized and episodic adventures (one-shots, and short arcs, combined with larger plots) so a modified West-Marches style suits us well. This style also supports multiple DMs and more players, so we can really bring the feel of a lived in world, because it is.

Hey, folks.
I'm Eric, and most of all, I love the community of TTRPGs.

I started playing D&D in a very different time and place, the early to mid-eighties with AD&D. I'll be honest, we didn't know what the hell we were doing, but we had a lot of fun. Fast-forward 40-ish years and my brother tells me he's playing D&D. I remember thinking, "oh, people still do that? That would be so fun now. I wonder if anyone plays in Dallas?". And now, a few years later, running games is one of my favorite things in the world.

I love building a world with a group, and TTRPGs are just about the most fun thing you can do with your brain. 5E has been my mainstay, but of late, game design and other systems have grabbed a share too. Anything that adds more fun and family to the TTRPG community is what I seek. Let's tell great stories together!
