Stormlight Archives: Bridge 9

Life before death
Strength before weakness
Journey before destination

Welcome to Roshar—a world of stone, spren, and civilization-shaping storms. Created by master fantasy author Brandon Sanderson in The Stormlight Archive, Roshar is a brutal yet beautiful alien landscape swept by the Highstorms: massive, magical tempests that race across the continent, leaving glowing, infused gemstones and hardened rock in their wake. It is a world where flora retracts into the stone, fragments of ancient gods grant incredible power, and a legendary conflict is awakening once more.

Our First Session- June 17th:
Don't worry if you've never played this system before—we are all learning together! Our first session will be a relaxed, collaborative space where we will: Forge Our Heroes: Walk through character creation step-by-step.

Learn the Mechanics:
Master the game's familiar d20-based system and narrative-driven plotting.

The Journey Ahead:
Once our characters are ready, we will dive straight into "Bridge 9", a beginner-friendly introductory adventure designed to slowly teach us the mechanics of combat, skill checks, and roleplay through a real tabletop narrative.

After we survive "Bridge 9" and find our footing, the real story begins as we launch into "Stonewalkers", a full-fledged, epic campaign where your choices will echo across the face of Roshar.

House GM Nick's Backstory:

Hi everyone! My name is Nick.

I've been a forever DM for over a decade. I'm most familiar with Dungeons & Dragons, but have also run games for Cyberpunk RED, and Vampire the Masquerade. If you have a system you'd like to use, just let me know!

I tend to be a fairly relaxed DM. I abide by the rule of cool, and if you can make a reasonable case as to why you should be able to roll Acrobatics instead of Athletics, I'm usually willing to say yes. I also award Inspiration for terrible dad-jokes.

See ya at the table!
